A Note from Jody
You know when you have a super important event and you want to have the best photos and then make the very best layout with all your best supplies…well that was my dream for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations.
We had booked a fancy (expensive) restaurant, hired a minivan so we could travel to Sydney and back with our friends and purchased new clothes and visited the hairdressers (OK, just the girls!). So what could go wrong?
These 2 photos are the only photos of the whole night. I KNOW!!!! Are you as shocked as I am? How did that happen? Well we got my son to take a group photo before we left and the camera never came out again.
Oh we had fun, and great food, but no photos and so I have put off making a layout because it just wouldn’t be “perfect”. So with this month’s assignment I decided that I wanted to get this layout done before my husband turned 51! No more putting it off.
I chose the group photo (no choice really) and converted it to black and white to minimise the coats (it was winter) and the fact that one friend just had a t-shirt on for the trip and would then change. Not going to dwell on that! Then I gathered what I had, which was a business card and a postcard from the restaurant.
The yellow jumped out as my go to colour with my best friend Kraft. I wrote about the night and that was it. And guess what, it’s fine and I have the memory of the night recorded.
March Fun Fact
Welcome Autumn…oh how I love you so very much! Always have, always will.
