A Note from Monika
I refused to throw away the paper scraps I trim from the art prints from my Etsy shop, knowing that there would be a project I’ll need them for. Having put it off long enough, and tired of having this huge stack, I came upon the idea of making my own shipping tags. After trimming the paper strips to size, I pulled out my Mom’s old sewing machine. I used it to adhere all the papers to the tag. Then, I rummaged through my small paper scraps stash to embellish the tags.
You’ll notice that some of them are quite bare while others are practically finished. I did this on purpose. I wanted the freedom to either pull out a tag, add a note and attach it to a gift bag as is or to pull one out and customize it for the person I’m gifting it to.
I rather like the idea that these would make adorable lunchbox/backpack notes of encouragement, too! So, pull out your scraps and try your hand at a few gift tags
yourself this month!
