A Note from Donna
Alright, so I cheated. Obviously, this layout has photos. However, I’m hoping you’ll grant me some leniency once I tell you why I’ve included it in this month’s gallery. My main goal when making this pocket page was not necessarily to scrapbook these two photos. My goal was to find a creative way of putting these two drawings my boys made into our scrapbook. Last year (2010) was the first year that we asked the boys to draw what they wanted the Jack O’ Lantern to look like and I wanted to keep these pages as a reminder of that.
I think as scrapbookers we come across moments and events that are repeated year after year. Sometimes it can be quite uninspiring to scrapbook these events. Our family carves a pumpkin every year, but I don’t scrapbook it every year, because honestly it gets a little boring. Last year was different because we started a new tradition and I was happy that I came up with a way to remember it.
