A Note From Melanie
I usually only make cheesecake twice a year, once on my husband’s birthday, and again at Christmas. The recipe here basically serves as my journaling, and I was happy to get it down for posterity’s sake, because I’d like to think that one day my future grandchildren might try it.
My son took this photo, and while it’s not the best quality, I think it adds much more visual interest than the run-of-the-mill cake shot you’d usually find on a recipe page. I forgot to add the date on here before scanning, but this was taken last week during my husband’s birthday celebration.
**Also, if you’re copying this recipe, I somehow omitted a key ingredient in the crust- add in ½ cup melted butter to the crumbs!
