A Note from Cheryl
I suppose I still need to do an “addendum” page to this one, to tell the story of how when we were little my mom slaved away every year to make her “most awesome of Christmas Breads” for our breakfast every year. After years with none of us praising her baking skills or probably even thanking her properly for going to the trouble, she figured “they don't really care what we're eating for breakfast” and bought a box of danishes from the local bakery. My brother and I were devastated that Christmas morning to discover that the kitchen was bare of the sweet smells of this most beloved of traditions. Mom simply remarked, “Well, maybe over the last 15 years one of you should have mentioned that you liked it.”

Point taken, mom. Point taken. :)
