Jenny Larson

Generally I feel as if I am 30 years old.

My favorite author is Agatha Christie. I'm an old-fashioned mystery gal.

During my life, I have lived in 6 states (Maine, New York, Virginia, Florida, Utah, Minnesota) and 2 countries (the United States and the Azores/Portugal).

One of the defining moments of my life was deciding to attend St. Olaf College in Minnesota. I've made Minnesota my home since.

My camera is a point-and-shoot, a Sony Cybershot. It has a very good action setting so I can easily take clear pictures of my very active boys!

When I scrapbook, I must have the Roku* on--right now I'm watching Supernatural.

Though I began scrapbooking in 1998, I didn't find my groove until 2008--taking the class Design Your Life at Big Picture Classes helped make design automatic for me, which removed a scrapbooking block.

My favorite scrapbooking colors are bright ones--especially yellow, orange, and teal.

You might notice that many of my pages include lots of tiny details, especially hand stitching.

*The Roku is a little box that hooks the TV up to the internet. We watch Netflix through that. There's other channels too, some for free, but we only pay for Netflix. Maybe others when we get rid of the dish sometime...

Jennifer grew up in Maine and has lived in Minnesota since attending college at St. Olaf, meeting her husband at the Mall of America, and settling down to teach English to high school students. She is the blessed, tired mother of two boys, a lovable shepherd mix, and a slightly neurotic but affectionate cat. Outside of scrapbooking, Jennifer loves reading, gardening, running, swimming, and cooking. She's a major fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (best TV show ever) and can be found on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest as Buffyfanlarson. Jennifer has been published in Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Scrapbook and Cards Today, and Scrap Street Magazine. She currently designs for Elle's Studio and Thinking Through Design and writes for The Scrap Review.
