A Note From Emily
Summer is the time of year I am out of doors a lot more. I don’t spend nearly as much time scrapping. This layout was very easy to pull together, even with the painted title, I was done in about 30 minutes. How? I used a design I already knew well, it’s a semi-scraplift of one I did nearly three years ago. I used three photos and back each one with a strip of paper, only for this layout, I swapped out the paper for the title and journaling. It makes it so quick when you can alternate things like that. I felt like the stamped title wasn’t quite strong enough so I very sloppily added some paint to the inside of each letter. Neatness is no longer an issue for me. ☺ Once I had everything where I needed it, I stitched the blocks of patterned paper down, pop-dotted the middle picture to give it a bit more dimension, pop-dotted the arrow (that I hand cut from a sheet of patterned paper), penned in the journaling (I always “pre-journal” in pencil to make sure it fits, and in this case know where to stitch my journaling lines too.), and was done. Easy. And now I am off to my vacation destination!
August Fun Fact
While I love poppies, I have not yet planted a single one.
