Hi and welcome to day 2! First I really need to apologize and admit a mistake I made in yesterdays post; I said that I linked to Emily Pitt's scraproom, but it is really Stephanie Wheeler's. Shame on me! I am sorry!
Now let's get on with today's post.
I don't know many scrapbookers that don't struggle with the journaling side of scrapbooking, I certainly do! I guess that is why my pages vary from almost no journaling to a long story. For me personally I am ok with that. Some memories need more words than others, some don't need words at all. sometimes I make pages where I just want to scrap a good photo.
The process I have for journaling includes thinking ahead. I always keep my notebook with me and I often use those inbetween moments to jot down some ideas, sketch layouts and write my journaling. This method (if you can call it that!) also helps me remember to actually scrap all those stories I want to keep!
I should talk about journaling techniques I use two frequently; I handwrite my journaling and I use my computer/typewriter. I really don't have a rule for when to use what, but I tend to use my own handwriting on more personal pages like when I tell my daughter how proud I am of her. I feel that I want to have a piece of me with those pages. That also applies to pages where I talk about the right now.

Journaling on the computer can be fun! I sometimes do both my titles + journaling in a Word document. Since I almost always use 4 x 6 photos on my layouts, I tend to put the photo in the document and adjust my letters to the photo, remove the photo before printing the text and then print the photo separately. Rarely do I use PSE or any other photoediting program for this. But sometimes I use digital brushes on a photo to use as my title or sentiment. For example Ali Edwards everyday/love/sunshine brushes. That way I already have my title when I print my photo! Sometimes I use the white space in the photo to write my journaling in.

I also use my typewriter for journaling, sometimes on the background paper and other times on bits and pieces and then I use removable glue so I can easily stick it into the typewriter.
Okay, that is it for today. I hope to see you here tomorrow again when I talk a bit about my process with photos.
ps. If you want to know more about journaling, then be sure to check out Christa's awesome week last week that was dedicated all to journaling!
