The moment I saw my JBS kit I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Best of the best and blue ribbon embellishments screamed Best Photos of 2011. I got the same kit as Alexandra, although neglected to take a photo of the entire stash as she so smartly did, and instead dove in like a kid in a candy store.
I chose two photos from each month from my 365 project...up to May as that is actually all I have edited. But good news is, this gorgeous kit was packed full of goodness, so I will have enough product for the remaining 14 or so pages.
I did this cover after I saw Alexandra's lovely project and was totally inspired how she spaced her little letter stickers. Just a little more proof that WCS is design inspiration even for us team members! (Thanks Alexandra!)
Who says you have to go mini in a mini album! Because I love this photo so much, I blew it up to 8x8 for bigger impact. I used two pieces of 9x9 chipboard I had in my stash (which will be covered when I see how much product I have left.)
As you can see I am keeping my design pretty simple. And red and turquoise together? Yes please!
I took advantage of the white space here and punched a hole and backed it with a small piece of patterned paper. Oh and take note, not only does Charlie really love his Superman shirt, Jack has one too, so you will see this again in this album...
Why yes, that is a Transformers ring on my daughters finger. Not only do I love this photo, doing this album reminds me how much I love the 365 project--little moments like these.
Well, there is that Superman shirt again! Jack was supposed to be wearing his too, but moments before this photo he spit up alllll over it. Oh well.
I laughed pretty hard when I found this one on my camera-Lillian jumped in the shot at the very last second. I cheated a little here--the hello stamp is from Michael's (only $1!) but it fit here.
One of the MANY reasons I {heart} JBS so much is even their packaging is adorable. Can you tell I cut this tag off of the packaging the tags came in? Nope, didn't think so. Very helpful when you have a longer mini to work on. I will use every speck of this kit!
Oh yes, you spotted it again-the baby version of the Superman shirt!
This one is definately not one of my best photos, but one of my favorites all the same-I don't know what Charlie was saying, but it looks like Jack is leaning in to catch every word. I hope they grow up the best of friends.
So far this album is very boy heavy, what with Lillian at school all day and the boys always home, but how could I resist this photo of Jack at four months old?
Or this one of him sitting in Daddy's lap? The answer is I totally can't :)
And there you have it. Some of my favorite photos and moments from 2011. Thank you JBS for creating this splendid kit that just fit perfectly! And don't forget--tomorrow is give.away.day. I bet it is going to be a GOOD one!!!
