Summer vacation is finally here and we're finally feeling the warmth that comes along with it. Bring on the sunshine! I have a brand new layout for you today—created just for Write. Click. Scrapbook. My most recent purchase from my local scrapbooking store included the printed chipboard shapes and Thickers from Crate Paper's The Pier Collection. Oh those kraft and gold polka dotted Thickers! You might find me hoarding them. I pulled some waterpark photos from our family vacation a couple years ago and this two-page layout evolved.
A pencil was used to lightly draw 4 wavy lines across two pages of white cardstock. Next I used Studio Calico Mister Huey like watercolors to paint the background (colors used: Mint Julep and Honor Society). I alternated stripes of both colors. Once dry, I used color pencils, a Crafter's Workshop stencil, and a roll of washi to trace circles of varying sizes onto the page. I used the same two mist colors and splattered it across the two pages, as well. Then I decided on the placement of my photos and used the waves to align my title. I chose two patterned papers and cut circles to place around the photos. A couple chipboard shapes were added in there too. Finshed the page with some journaling and scattered enamel dots.
