Hello, everyone. I am back for day four of "Scrapbooking your Stuff." And since this week we have been talking about all the things we own, keep, and cherish, it seemed almost impossible to go a whole week without mentioning technology. Whether you like having the latest and greatest gadgets, or whether you resist the changes that new technology brings, we can't deny that those items affect our day to day life in a powerful way.
Whether you love 'em or hate 'em, you can create a record of them all, as Sue did here. Don't be afraid to record how you feel about it all. I find it fun to think about what this layout might mean 10 or 20 years from now. Will these super sleek gadgets look old and clunky and become the butt of jokes?
What is the gadget you hold most near and dear to your heart. When and why did you get it, and why do you love it?
Jennifer L. answered those questions in this layout about her iphone.
Similarly, my son's ipod held a special place in his heart.
It makes me feel better that my kids are not the only ones a little obsessed with their elctronic devices. Jennifer H. shared this layout about her sons.
Who Would Have Thunk?
One of the things I have noticed about myself, is that when new technology comes out, my first response is, "No, I would never..." And slowly but surely, I get used to the idea, and eventually I get used to having that technology in my life. And usually, the positives outweigh the negatives.
So go ahead, and find some stories in the way you (and your loved ones) use and abuse technology in your life.
Have a great day!
