Shall we resume our week of journaling fun? (Before we go too far, though, I apologize if Wednesday felt a little heavy. It was meant to be fun and hopeful, but I fear that perhaps I went a little cray cray, as the kids say. Suffice it to say that I hope that your life is filled with dreams and that you will take the time to write some down and make it into a pretty page so that years from now you can have a good chuckle over the things that you wanted to do. :) )
Which leads us into today's journaling idea, laughter. I love a good giggle. How about you? Let's make a list of page starters so we can make some funny pages.
- my favorite comedy sketch
- things that never cease to make me laugh
- remember that time when
- funny things my kids say
- my favorite silly/wacky youtube video
- wacky things your family does/says
- words that only your family understands
- remember that one time at band camp/drama camp/a capella tour...
- have you heard the one about...
- what's the deal with...
- favorite funny movie/tv show/actor
- remember that episode when...
- embarrassing at the time, funny in retrospect
I know lots of those surround media, but I love a good out loud laugh--the kind that happen when I watch Molly Shannon do Superstar, or Dana Carvey be the church lady, or listen to Will Farrell's prayer on Talledega Nights. Funny times.
We try not to take things too seriously around here. We mock the teen, gently tease the littles, and work hard to make sure they find the happy side of life. I need to record Nigel's deadpan delivery, Poppy's wacky oneliners, and Lavender's wack-a-doo faces. But today's layout is going to celebrate the movie that made me snort--I was laughing so. very. hard. Let me introduce you to, Pitch Perfect.
I hope this week was fun for you! I had a wonderful time and my head is spinning with stories that are not yet told. Thank you for being a part of that creative buzz! Be sure to visit tomorrow for Amy and some of her amazing journaling guidance!
