Generally I feel as if I am 34 years old. Is that weird? I just picked a number randomly because I never really gave it much thought before.
My favorite movie is the Sound of Music (but only if I'm allowed to sing along).
During my life, I've lived in a small town which I thought I hated until I moved to a big city. Now I'm in Mediumsville and it feels just right.
Two of the most defining moments of my life were when our boys were born.
My camera is a Canon Digital Rebel, and my favorite lens is...actually is it bad that I don't know offhand what it is? Clearly I'm not the photographer that I would like to be some day.
When I scrapbook, I must have my computer.
Though I began scrapbooking through Creative Memories back in 1999 (I think), I don't think I found my groove until a few years later when I walked into a scrapbook store and saw all. the. STUFF! I love stuff.
My favorite scrapbooking colors are white background with red/green tea and turquoise-y blue.
You might notice that many of my pages include the hilarious antics of all the boys I live with.
Cheryl Overton is a mostly stay-at-home mom to two rowdy and usually sweet little boys, Jake (10 3/4) and Lucas (8 1/2). She is married to her very own carpenter/cable guy which keeps her both in a constant state of moving and gives her internet and cable access in every corner of every house they live in. She started scrapbooking at a Creative Memories party that a good friend dragged her to in 1998 and her previous cries of "I'm NOT crafty" were replaced with surprised murmurs of "hey...look at all the stuff" and "wow, maybe I am a little crafty." She has been published in Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Paperkuts (remember that one?), Scrapbook Trends, Scrapbooks Etc. and had the great pleasure of working with the lovely Simple Scrapbooks staff first as a Simple Gal and then later as a contributing editor. Cheryl worked at her local scrapbook store, Memories & More, for four years and still currently teaches the odd class there. Presently, she is working part-time as a closet designer for a custom cabinetry business and two years ago started a Home & Life organizing business with the very friend who dragged her to her first Creative Memories party so many years ago.
