Generally I feel as if I am 10 years younger than my real age. Birthdays use to make me feel like I'm getting old, until I changed my perspective. Aging is a privilege that not everyone gets to experience. I'm grateful for the life experiences and learning from each year of getting older.
Favorite book/movie/music: I find new favorite books all the time. This year I finally read "The Help" and it is my favorite this year. My favorite movie is a tie between "Clueless" and "Princess Bride". I love disco music, it makes me feel like getting up and dancing.
During my life, I have lived in 13 different apartments/houses, 2 continents, and two states.
One of the most defining moments of my life was when my mom died of cancer in 2007. I still miss her a lot.
My camera is a collection. I have a Canon T2i, Canon SD850is, Fuji Instax, Olympus Stylus 1030 waterproof, GoPro Hero2, and a phone camera. Each one has its purpose, but my favorite one is my the Canon SD850is, the little point and shoot I have in my purse at all times.
When I scrapbook I am in my own little world. I get really quiet because I'm concentrating so much.
Though I began scrapbooking in 2006, I don't think I found my groove until I started blogging regularly in 2008. A lot of my photos and stories are captured on my blog, so when I am stumped for a scrapbooking topic, I go to my blog for inspiration.
My favorite scrapbooking colors are light blue, yellow, and red. Although, I seem to always use a neutral cardstock as my background.
You might notice that many of my pages include stamping. I love using stamps on the background or on journal cards.
I don't get to be creative in my everyday job as a financial analyst. Scrapbooking allows me to explore my creative side while also telling my stories. I live in sunny San Diego with my husband Todd and my cat Noodle. I love to eat, run, watch sports, read, knit/crochet, make cards, stamp, sew, and get my hands into anything crafty.
