Generally I feel as if I am 37 years old—I am not willing to give up all the knowledge and wisdom I’ve gained in those years.
My favorite song is The Moldeau by Bedrich Smetana...it captures me every time.
During my life, I have come to the realization that everyone has a story, you just have to ask. If you do, it will help you understand both them and yourself better.
I have lived at 21 different addresses in 5 different states.
The most defining moments of my life was when I was diagnosed with heart failure in 2001; it solidified my belief in God, family, and self.
My camera is a Sony Alpha 100, and my favorite lens is my 50mm f1.4.
When I scrapbook, I get lots of exercise running up and down stairs to stitch on my sewing machine. My scrap space is too messy to house my machine. Should do something about that…
Though I began scrapbooking in 1997, I took a 13 year hiatus and didn’t find my groove until 2009.
My favorite scrapbooking colors are orange/teal/red/green.
You might notice that many of my pages include kraft paper and stitching.
Emily doesn’t have cable television, reason being her two children–Annie (15) and Ethan (11) and husband Kelly are much more entertaining than anything you’d find on TV. They provide her with more than enough scrapping material to keep her busy for years, and she’s OK with that. Emily’s been refining her style over the last year and would now describe herself as a funky handmade scrapper with a story to tell. She has actually begun to embrace her mistakes, and again, she’s OK with that. You may have occasionally noticed Emily’s work in Scrapbook Trends, Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook and Cards Today (where she’s Special Projects Editor), but you’ll see her work monthly in the gallery at Studio Calico for sure.
