Generally I feel as if I am a work in progress, always changing, growing, learning and trying to appreciate the little things along the way.
Favorite book/movie/music: One of my favorite books is 'Into the Forest' by Jean Hegland. My favorite movie? Oh boy, so hard to choose just one! I'm going to say the 'Notebook' because my husband and I just watched it again and I'm a sucker for a good love story! As far as music goes, I'm a rock 'n' roll kind of gal.
During my life, I have lived in four states. I was born in Nebraska and lived in Iowa for a short time before moving to Northern California when I was about 10. For the past 8 years, I’ve lived with my family in North Carolina.
Two of the most defining moments of my life were meeting my husband and the birth of our son Christopher. Common answer, I know, but I remember both like they were yesterday and both changed my life forever.
My camera is a Canon Rebel. I have a couple different lenses, but I couldn't tell you what they are. :)
When I scrapbook time escapes me. I really get into the creative process and the memories I'm preserving.
Though I began scrapbooking in 2003, I don't think I found my groove until recently, like in the last six months! Greeting cards have always come to me naturally, but scrapbook has been more of a challenge.
My favorite scrapbooking colors are every color of the rainbow! Since joining the Bella Blvd. and Doodlebug Design teams in the fall, I've really been into bright happy colors. I have always loved neutrals too. I just can't commit to any one group of colors.
You might notice that many of my pages include pictures of my son Christopher, naturally. A close second is everyday moment type subjects.
After living on the west coast in Northern California most of my life, we picked up and moved to North Carolina 8 years ago. Now we have a whole new coast to explore. My husband and I just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in April and look forward to another 20! Our son's birthday is also in April, he just turned 11. When I'm not paper crafting, you can find me in the kitchen, out in the yard, on a vintage treasure hunt or my nose in a good book.
