A Note from Alexandra
When I realized I was paired with THE Emily Pitts, I had to pinch myself to believe my luck ! There was a lot of excitement and quite a bit of nervousness too on my part as I sieved through Emily’s gallery. I definitely want to be able to write on my pages one day. Emily has the coolest handwriting. I want to use bold, long titles like she does so successfully. The result is always so striking ! I would like to have cool portrait of myself and write more personal journaling like Emily. I will try to make little décors using stamps and patterned papers. There are so many ideas, so much to take away from visiting Emily’s blog. But for this month’s assignment I wanted to try a version of a beautiful piece Emily made recently for Cocoa Daisy. I have been dabbing with water colors lately and was curious to see how I could use that background die from Papertrey Ink.
For this card, I first did a wash of color on a pièce of watercolor paper and covered it with the die cut image. Then I added gems and a piece of Twine.
