A Note from Emily
My layout was inspired by Katrina Simeck’s layout Playing Favorites. I have made lots of layouts about each of my children, but was totally inspired how Katrina created a single layout that included information about both of them. My layout features photos that were taken at their joint birthday party. They are exactly two years and one day apart!
Journaling
Mirielle: At 3 you are silly and sweet. You tell jokes and stories. You are feisty, but oh-so-loveable. You put a smile on my face every single day. You are so amazingly smart. You are tiny, but have a huge personality. I love watching you grow. I am so blessed to be your mama.
Henry: At 1 you have developed quite the personality. When you are happy, you are SO happy. When you are unhappy, you make sure everybody knows. Your smile lights up the room. Your laugh is contagious. You are so daring and brave…maybe a little too much at times! I love watching you grow. I am so blessed to be your mama.
June Fun Fact
I was so excited to be paired up with Katrina this month. I am so lucky to call Katrina a friend in “the real world”. Although we live many, many miles apart, we have had the opportunity to get together a few times and we always have a ball. She even flew to Chicago to surprise me for my baby shower three years ago. She is one of the most cool, fun, genuine people I have ever met!
And a funny little note about the layout. I realized as I was typing my second tag that I had a typo on the final "your" so I quickly corrected it. However, after putting the layout together I realized that I had also made the exact same typo on the first tag I typed!! Unfortunately it was too late to fix it. I figure it gives my layout a feeling of "authenticity"! And I guess there's something to be said for consistency... ;)
