A Note from Francine
My layout was inspired by Diane's layout, More Monkeys Than People. Monkeys always make me think about Kieran, because 1. They are one of his favourite animals and 2. I tend to call him my little monkey.
Originally I planned to do a layout about just that to keep the monkey theme, but then I decided to scrap at least one photo from his birthday party so I could say I got that done! Usually when I am lifting a layout it tends to go off in a totally different direction, but there was so much about Diane’s page that I loved (the eclectic mix of papers! the ink splotches! the white background! the bunting!) that my page is an almost exact copy of hers in terms of the design.
Journaling
This year we had a smaller and simpler party – and you enjoyed it just as much. The best part though was that you totally “got” what all the fuss was about, and were a pro at blowing out the candles!
June Fun Fact
I think my husband will disown me if I buy any more vintage typewriters or Polaroid cameras at the flea market!
