Journaling
When I was a little girl I thought this poem was so sad. As a teenager I copied it from diary to dairy. Always feeling a pull to it. But I always thought it was depressing that good things didn't last and that the beauty of life is so very ephemeral. But now that I am much much older I feel so differently. This is a reminder that everything is ephemeral so I try to enjoy each and every moment.
Poem
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
