A Note from Emily

A long time ago I printed out a bunch of 5x7 photos. I don’t know why I love this one so much…something about the “everyday-ness” of it all. It’s even more special now, as our dog in the photo passed away earlier this year. I love recording these simple ordinary memories.

It’s hard to believe this photo was taken two years ago. Who knew the pool ever had all those colors? Daddy still wears those shorts. And we still have that pink laundry basket. You were just a baby; Henry, just a hope in our hearts. Maddie is gone now, making this photo bittersweet. It was an ordinary summer day, but these are the days I fight to remember. Special days are fun, but these regular days are the ones that make up our very blessed life.

September Fun Fact
September is my favorite month. It’s my birthday month, but I especially love it because it signals the beginning of fall! I can’t wait for sweater weather, football games, changing leaves, and all of the other amazing parts of fall.
