A Note from Vivian
Mini-album pages, used as both a journaling spot and patterned paper, helped me to pull this layout together quickly.

I found this photo when looking through an album at my parents’ house. The date on the back is July 1978. I was seven, and my sister was four. While don’t have specific memories of this particular day at the beach, looking at this photo brought back a lot of memories. I grew up just a five minute walk from the beach, and, since my mother was a professor and had summers off, we spent a lot of days at the beach. I remember using sticks to draw elaborate floor plans in the wet sand, digging out “bathtubs” in the “bathrooms,” and soaking in them. I remember hurriedly eating sandy peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwiches to that I could get back to playing. I remember spending endless hours jumping over just-breaking waves, giggling and laughing. I remember walking endlessly along the shore, head down, searching for pieces of seaglass to add to my collection. I remember time well spent, with family and in the sunshine.

September Fun Fact
I created this layout while on vacation at my parents’ house, not far from the beach where this photo was taken.
