A Note from Monika
Even though I just used this photo during my recent week in the mini book {my five senses}, it’s not often I have a photo of myself even if it is the cheesy in-the-mirror version here. This months’ gallery theme, Remember When, just seemed a perfect match-up for this snapshot in time...reading glasses propped on my head, not the once-skinny self I once was, resorting to coloring my hair, even though I said I wouldn’t.
Journaling
I remember when I didn’t need reading glasses. I remember when I said that I wouldn’t color my hair. I remember when my metabolism kept me at a size 4 no matter what I ate. But, 47 is pretty good, too!
November Fun Fact
In the ten days surrounding Thanksgiving, we will celebrate the birthdays of two of our three children and then Thanksgiving, too, of course. How on earth is all that cake, ice cream, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, rolls, turkey, the rest of the fixins and that buffet table full of desserts going to help my thighs? Let’s just say I’m not going to be seeing size 4 anytime soon. Oh, but I remember when...
