A Note From Lisa
When I heard that this month's gallery theme was about connections I knew I wanted to create a page about my grandmother who passed away a little more than a year ago. Towards the end of her life, she was always commenting about how she hoped we would remember her after she was gone. Little did she know that my house is full of daily reminders of her. So I took some time to snap photos of the many things that bring her to my mind.
When I see these physical reminders of her life—the dishes I inherited, the clothes she made for my kids, or the many skeins of yarn I bought shopping with her—I am taken back to moments we spent together. I'm reminded of her quirky habits, her well-intentioned advice, and her countless acts of love. But mostly I am reminded of the indelible impression our relationship had on me. Even though she's not here, her spirit is very much present in my life and in my heart.
