A Note from Emily
This layout is a bit of a strange juxtaposition of a sweet photo and lots of color with a not-so-sweet story!! We've been having a really rough time with my daughter getting up in the morning for the past month of so. I wanted to document the story, even though at this point it seems like something I'd like NOT to remember!!
Journaling
Our morning routine has become quite a challenge. You hate getting up in the morning. You are three going on thirteen. On a good day I am just yelled at "Leave me ALONE, Mommy! Go AWAY!" On bad days there is kicking and screaming and a whole lot of unpleasantness. My favorite was the day you crawled down from your changing table, locked the door, put on a diaper and your pajama pants, and crawled back into bed with the blanket over your head. We've tried everything: going to bed earlier, getting you up earlier so there is more time for you to ease yourself out of bed, being totally silly as we wake you up, even bribery!! But more often than not it's a battle. ItÕs not my favorite part of the day, that is for sure. I'm hoping when summer comes and you can sleep as late as you want, things will improve. For the next four weeks we will just have to suffer through it. Photo 3.20.2012.
May Fun Fact
May is a great month because it means school is almost over!! I'm not sure who is more excited for summer break...the students or the teachers! I'm counting down the days...
