“So I try not to make “New Year’s resolutions” because I usually end up feeling guilty, disappointed, and frustrated. But I do believe in taking time to evaluate myself to see if I measure up to what I know I can be, what my husband knows I can be, and what my kids need me to be. I know I need to do better at taking care of my body by exercising daily, feeding my mind and spirit daily with wisdom, and making sure I spend one-on-one time with each kid daily. I guess my greatest desire is not to have wasted any time in my journey through life. Do I measure up to my expectations? Not yet…check back with me next year.”
A Note From Aly
This is one of my favorite pages because it expresses my feelings about setting goals and measuring my progress on them. I believe that we can and should be constantly improving ourselves, and this page is a great self-reminder of that. I can honestly say that while I’m still not perfect at any of the three goals on this page that I set for myself a year ago, I have definitely improved by being more consistent with each one. I look forward to scrapping another page about my progress on these goals, and about setting some new ones.
