A Note From Carolyn
I love this month's theme! I have three incredible sons and one super husband to scrapbook about and they are my favorite people in the world (along with my new daughter!).
As I was thinking about my page, I wanted to note what I love about each of the men in my life, but keep my layout clean. First, I converted my photos to sepia, which gives my page warmth, but doesn't compete with the patterned paper or elements on the page. Next, I kept my journaling simple by using bullet points to list just a few of the things I love about my husband and each son and set each list on it's own mat with the corresponding photo.
I chose this paper by Cloud 9 (Chocolate Chalet line) because of it's versatility. The pinks are offset by chocolate browns and soft greys that work well for pages about men or women, boys or girls. They're also very warm and inviting. Of course, I had to use my stash of American Crafts letter stickers. They are just perfect for a quick title! And I use my Fiskars border punch anytime I get the chance. On a layout about love, I think the design of this punch just adds to the ambiance.
