A Note from Aliza
This layout has been in my mind since 2011 (when the picture was taken). I wasn't sure if there was enough of a story there to make this page. But a co-worker talked lovingly about how she still gets Chanukah lists from her teenage sons, and then I felt certain this was a story worth telling.
Journaling
For many years, as Chanukah approached, Sam would go through the giant circular from Toys’R’Us, and circle everything he wanted for Chanukah (and his birthday). As he got older, he typed out a wish list, with photos and links provided, and he prioritized and divided it up between parents and grandparents. And now, in 2013, again at the computer, Sam was surprised to discover that he only had one toy on his list. (He will still hit up his grandparents for gift cards). He noted, “I guess that’s what happens when you get older.”
December Fun Fact
It’s my birthday, my birthday, my birthday this month!
