A Note from Erin

With two young daughters, I use a lot of pink when I scrapbook. Thankfully I love pink so I don’t mind too much. The colors on this layout are ones I turn to most often, pictures permitting, of course. When I’m using these colors, my pages seem to come together much easier for me. Plus, they make me happy. I really struggle with primary colors so you won’t find many, if any at all, in my albums. I like to stick with what works, so I don’t experiment with different colors/patterns that often. Unfortunately, not all pictures work with bright pink, yellow, green and blue. So I do have to pull out the fall, Halloween, and Christmas colors. Although, even some of my Christmas pages have a bit of pink in them!

Journaling

For a few months now, Emma’s bedtime routine has included blowing kisses. Once she’s tucked in, I walk to the door, turn off the night and blow her a kiss. She catches it and says, “got it!” Then it’s her turn to blow me a kiss and I catch it and say “got it!” Some nights though, it’s rapid-fire kisses, and we try to catch them as fast as we can. It’s fun. And sweet. And my favorite part of bedtime. We usually save these special kisses for bedtime, so I got a wonderful surprise when I uploaded these pictures and found her blowing me a kiss. My sweet three-year-old, I love you so much.(May 20, 2009 @ Liberty Road park)
