A Note from Cheryl
I held onto a couple of empty ribbon spools after Christmas with the thought that I might be able to do something with them. Shockingly, I actually did something instead of letting them sit and collect dust for the next year before chucking them into the recycling bin.

For this little mini I measured the width of the spool and then set up my layout in photoshop using photos we had taken the previous weekend up at the local skihill. My photo paper was only 8.5 x 11 so I made two strips and after I cut them I attached them together with adhesive and then 2 brads to reinforce the connection. I printed the quote that is adhered to the spool, which in it's entirety says “Gravity is love and every turn is a leap of faith” (leap of faith is kind of my skiing philosophy – cross my fingers and go!)

I used my Cricut to cut the snowflake and the circles that cover the top of the ribbon spool and sanded the edges with an emery board.
