A Note from Erin
For me, it’s easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of day-to-day life: cleaning the house, running errands, making dinner, laundry, homework, activities and more before you know it bedtime is here and another day is gone. While those things are necessary, they’re not the important things, they can wait. The important thing is spending time with my family –p laying with my kids, being with my husband, all of us being together. And I know this. Yet it’s easy to forget it while doing all the aforementioned things. So my note to self is to remember what’s important, to put my family first, and to enjoy being with them.

Journaling
This is what it’s all about.
Family time.
Taking our children on adventures big and small.
Hanging out at home, playing games, reading, snuggling.
Watching them as they experience things both new and old.
Annual traditions and starting new ones.
I treasure every minute with them and I don’t want to miss a single moment – not a tear, a laugh, their excitement. Michael and I laugh and wonder what we did before we had kids. We so enjoy spending our time with them that we can’t imagine not doing so. I know it’s a cliché, but they’ll be big before we know it and we can’t get this time back. Even though I sometimes want to, I can’t freeze time. So I’ll make the most of it. I will not take it for granted. I will kiss them and hug them and love them with all that I am.
