A Note from Jenny
Last summer’s camping trip was a wet mess, but the walk through the historic quarry was buggy but divine. I chose my favorite photos, enlarged the best to 8 x 12, then scrapped it with happy colors and few embellishments to celebrate the memory.

Journaling
Our camping trip to Banning State Park was one extremely wet weekend. Thankfully, there were beautiful hikes around the park, and though we had to dodge some muddy puddles and mosquitoes, we saw some beautiful scenery, including Wolf Creek Falls, the Kettle River, and most especially the abandoned quarry. The skeletal quarry buildings stood like ghosts in the woods, and the boys loved climbing the rocks and exploring. When we traveled up to the Teacher’s Overlook, many people asked us if we’d seen the dog. We were clueless until at the peak we found a runaway Setter, who ran right over to Lola and stayed with us as we walked him back to the campground.
What an adventure.

July Fun Fact
My boys’ shoe sizes are bigger than mine right now. They are 10 and 11 years old. Yikes!
