A Note From Aly
My husband does not like to have his picture taken. He would rather be behind the camera. (Hmm…sounds like me!) But I feel it’s just as important to document his story (and mine) as it is to document my children’s. So I’ve discovered a few tricks over the years to make sure I get some photos of him. 1) Don’t ask or tell him I’m taking photos, just start snapping inconspicuously. 2) Offer to get in the shot with him so he doesn’t feel like he’s in the spotlight (a place he doesn’t enjoy). 3) Get the kids involved. Have them in the photo with him, or gang up on him so he can’t say no! 4) Catch him while he’s sleeping.
