A Note From Monika
I had chosen my Tumblr inspiration quite a while back and have been wondering how I would carry out the heart theme. Home decor, mini-album, layout? Taking my cue from Marie Taylor’s hosting week on pop culture, I documented my hearts for the new fall TV show line-up. I don’t do many layouts about me or my husband and certainly not about my fave TV shows, so this is a real departure for me, especially since there is not a photo included on the layout.
Each of the hearts were chosen because they had a white/cream/clear background and were literally in the scraps to be thrown out pile. I used my punch for the heart shape, traced the heart on the back of the patterned paper and then hand cut each heart to make it look less perfect. I attached the hearts with colored staples to tie into the “office” theme of the background paper and also used a raw chipboard alpha set to keep the theme toned down.
October Fun Fact
Fall is my favorite season! I *heart* hot cocoa, a fire in the fireplace, marshmallow roasts, the falling leaves, the crisp air, and the whole sweater, turtlenecks and boots get-up.
