8.5 x 11 materials journaling spot and patterned paper heart (hmm, that's a very good question) + monkey tag (Daisy D's) + flair (American Crafts) + heart punch (EK Success)

A Note from Elizabeth
Maddie has known her oldest, tallest friend Curtis since she was a day old, and since they both celebrate their birthdays in May, they often celebrate together. Photos like these are so important to include in my album because they showcase the idea of "lifelong friends," something that can be tricky to achieve for Air Force families (we've been fortunate to have been assigned to many of the same places!) We recreated the second picture to be funny on Maddie's 7th birthday—long before I'd ever visited the Young Me/Now Me site! Most of my scrapbook supplies are still packed from our latest move so I kept this page super-simple both out of preference and necessity.

November Fun Fact
Way back in 2003? 2004? I was the "featured reader" in Simple Scrapbooks, and I included the funny thing Maddie used to say about my age in the Q & A—that I was 38 (I was not). She used to walk around saying "Mama's 38!" over and over, and we never did figure out why. This month? Yep. I turn 38. It seemed so far in the future back then...
