Hey! Cheryl here. I hope everyone is enjoying this blog as much as I am.
I posted this bad boy on my blog a few weeks ago.
Please pay close attention to the following:
- How the strategically placed triangles anchor the bottom of the page.
- How the unrelated wagon carrying a heavy load of hearts (????) fills that horrible white space.
- And most importantly, how the photos, which clearly have nothing to do with one another, must tell the story I was trying to get across as there is no journaling to be seen.
Jealous?
But, seriously.
When I was dragged (kicking and screaming "I'M NOT CRAFTY!!!") to a Creative Memories party 10-odd years ago, I never would have thought it would lead to a hobby that I am passionate about.
I'm happy to report that soon after the creation of the page above I found my "voice" and realized the importance of telling our story.
How I see it.
And whether it be summed up in a word....
Or in a sentence or two...
Or maybe even a novella in the making...
To me, the story is the most important thing.
And when I see my boys, giggling and remembering, while sprawled on the floor of my craft room reading reading the story of their lives, I think to myself, what better reason could there be to scrapbook?
