that's what I got from my 15-year-old daughter, Hannah as we looked through some of my early family albums to choose some gems to share with you today. Laughs, and "holy cow, Mom, I can't believe you used to scrapbook like this!" You see my kids are used to looking at their own albums which were created after I'd had a few years more practice at this hobby we love so much.
When I first started scrapbooking, all I had to work with was brightly colored cardstock and a few markers. Okay, not even cardstock - these pages are just on regular weight papers (if you can believe it!) and apparently I was trying to do as much on a page with those few supplies as I possibly could --
Wow, wasn't I clever with a pair of scissors?!! (Go ahead and laugh, you won't hurt my feelings.)
Thank goodness I have a larger list of supplies to work with these days. But still, the way I scrapbook now, less is more - and I don't need much more than paper and ink to create a page and preserve a memory.
Happy scrapping everyone!
