I, like many others, get energized by the change in weather to spring clean my house, or at least parts of my house. For me, spring cleaning is about freshening things up- going from that winter 'get and stay' cozy feel to an, airy light, spring feel. An inexpensive way to change out a space is by changing your wall displays. (or adding) Regardless of the season or time of year try framing something different and unexpected, well you will see what I mean.
Now that you have gathered your frames and customized them it is time to fill them.
Memories:
I stumbled across this project by Becky Noveck and loved it so much I wanted to create my own framed scrapbook pages. I decided to create a grouping of three frames featuring photos of my mother-in-law and father-in law as children, then one of them more recently. I combined a variety of frame styles and used similar products to maintain a cohesive look.
Imagine the pages you can frame and display, maybe it is a special tradition or photos and memorabilia from a favorite vacation, give it a try.
Messages:
How much do we all love typography? I know I do. Framing words, quites, sentiments, phrases, is nothing new of course, however dressing them up with our stash of products gives a more couture look. :) Using supplies I had on hand I made the following framed message.
to create this I combined hand cut letters and a few leftover embellishments
for help with embroidery go here
This was a printable and all I did was add three hand punched hearts
This one is easy to do just layer clear SRM PRess stickers over a scrap of patterned paper and add an embellishment (I wrapped the frame with red and white bakers twine)
Made completely from scraps- letter stickers + scrap of patterned paper + embellishment
Your turn, what do you want to say or share- frame it and display-
