I'm just wondering, is your Summer already as busy as ours is? Whew, what's up with that? Between basketball camp, preparing a cajillion snacks a day and swimming at Nana's and Papa's pool, who has time to craft?
Hi, I'm Monika Wright and today I'll be sharing a few Father's Day gift ideas with you. My thinking is that we had better get our Father's Day gift planned, prepared, crafted and out of the way before it sneaks up on us and I wondered if you might feel the same way. Here in the U.S. we celebrate Father's Day on June 19th, just 10 days away. FYI: here's a link showing when our international friends celebrate Father's Day.
I've always encouraged our kids to create handmade cards and gifts for family members; it's a tradition my Mom began with my brother and I and one that I've continued. And because I love a good craft project, I created a greeting card flip book using kraft mini bags as the base.
I thought it would be fun for each of our girls to answer questions about their DaDa, having them write their thoughts in their own handwriting. We chose the theme "Favorites" and the girls will write their answers on the tabbed notecards you see below that we'll slip inside the bags that have been held together with a prong paper fastener from the office supply store.
Our Number One Dad is also getting this little gem, which {ahem} I'm sure he'll wear proudly!
You can get the link for this Number One Dad iron-on on my blog where I've already flipped the image for you so it's ready to print onto your favorite brand of iron-on transfer sheets. There's also an image that says:
DAD-IN-TRAINING
for all those lucky guys who are impatiently waiting to meet their most precious gift ever.
Won't you please take a moment to leave a comment telling us what you're crafting for Father's Day this year? Pinky Promise we won't tell!
Have Fun and Craft On!
