Hi there, friends! I'm super excited to be hosting the blog today! The school year is winding down (only one week to go!), the kids are anxious to get to the pool, and I have visions of beach vacations dancing through my head. Summer is just around the corner! To celebrate, here's a fun printable that can be used as a party favor, classroom treat, or a special surprise for a child's (or grandchild's) first day of summer.
Want to make one? First download the tags:
Using a 2" scallop or circle punch, cut the tags. Then gather a cheap sand shovel (I got mine at Michael's for $1), a cellophane bag, small candies or cookies and some ribbon:
Fill the bag with treats and place the bag in the shovel. Punch a small hole in the top of the tag:
Attach the bag to the handle of the shovel using ribbon:
Thread the tag onto the ribbon, tie a simple bow, trim the end of the bag, and call it done:
Happy summer! I'll be be back next month to celebrate one of my favorite days of the year!
