As August approaches, I tend to panic at the thought that summer is almost over. (And I can't even imagine what it's like for those of you whose kiddos go back to school in the next week or two!)
The feeling is especially acute this year as the summer weather in our area was slow to arrive. But I'm determined to enjoy what remains rather than dwelling on the fact that the days are bound to slip through my fingers too quickly.
I have set this as my laptop wallpaper to daily remind me to embrace what's left of these warm, blue-skied days and to take lots of photos as evidence.
If you'd like to do the same, you may download the frame with the quote here. (For a full, free set of Polaroid frames, visit fuzzimo.) Add a photo and use it as a computer background, post it in the sidebar of your blog, or print and frame it. And if you agree with me that it's not complete without that sweet banner, I highly recommend Crystal Wilkerson's Colorful Banners set available in her digital shop.
So go enjoy your weekend and take to heart the words of John Lubbock: "Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time."
