Clouds here today with a simple technique I use to give my scrap backgrounds something to pop :) No fancy schmancy "misting" here, just inexpensive materials that go a long way! I learned this technique really out of necessity. I really wanted to use my brand new watercolor palette with my scrap layouts ..
First, here's what you'll need ...
(watercolor palette & brush (Artist's Loft), pencil, card stock (Bazzill), water to wet your brush)
Step 1: Practice this simple technique before applying paint to your brush. You will be pressing your brush against the pencil ...
Step 2: To get that "mist" look on your card stock you need to generously apply paint to your brush, don't wipe off the excess. The more paint you have on your brush, the more surface you will be able to mist at a time. You will see the paint being "misted" about your surface ...
Step 3: Don't be afraid to add bigger spots of paint to your surface, it's really random but the end result is worth it! and do wait a bit for the paint to dry ...
Step 4: Go ahead and gather the rest of your scrapping supplies and scrap away to your heart's desire ...
