Greetings from snowy Montreal! Ann here, blogging from my mother's house where we are visiting my family after spending three blissful weeks in Florida with Mickey and all the princesses. It was our 2nd trip as a family of four so I made a point of re-creating many of the same pictures that we took during our previous trip. As a result, I have a plethora of Then/Now pictures that really show how my kids have changed in the last 4 years.
My favourite one of those is the Santa picture from the American pavilion at Epcot. I used the picture from 2007 and the one from 2011 to create my yearly Santa picture page. I cannot see many changes in Santa and Mrs. Claus but my kids sure have grown!
After creating this page, I came up with a few additional ideas for holiday themed Then/Now pages:
- Christmas pajamas: my kids get a new matching pair every year, it would be fun to look back and see all of the different ones from years past.
- Letters to Santa: would it be great to see how their handwriting evolved and what they asked Santa to bring each year?
- Christmas cards: each year I create a digital Christmas card that I print to send to family and friends. I can already picture a layout showcasing all of these cards!
I have tried many times to complete a December Daily album and am not ashamed to admit that I failed miserably every time. However, this Then/Now theme is giving me hope. Yes indeed, perhaps there is hope for this mini-album challenged gal ;) Hum....wheels are turning, gotta get scrapping!
