Christa here with my first post for the summer! We just ended school and are now knee deep in pool jumping, beach browsing, ice cream eating and all things summer fun. Every year I seem to write about capturing the little details about summer and I figure this year should be no different, right?! I seem to always have a camera strapped to me and it's strapped there even more so in the summer months. I like capturing the big picture scenes that we have each year, but also enjoy even more the little details about our summer. You know, sandy feet, interesting beach finds, and even the mundane things we do at home that really show what we do each week.
Summer is For Blooming
Many of you have probably been working hard in the garden for many weeks now to get it looking beautiful! Personally, I have a brown thumb, but living in the land of rain, constant warmth and sunshine I'm blessed to be surrounded by summer blooms.
These blooms can easily be translated into your pages as well:
Summer is For Fun
Like you, we are normally quite busy in the summer, but rather than being busy with after school activities and homework, it's busy with fun, field trips and family time.
It's easy for me currently to go on community field trips since I'm living in a different land and a different culture. However, even if you've lived in your hometown for decades, I bet there are still interesting places, buildings and architecture right in front of you. I would encourage you to go on a photo field in your town or nearby area to appreciate the details right there in front of you!
So while you're enjoying your summer don't forget those photo details! They make for great detailed layouts as well!
