Hello again! Wasn´t that a great new gallery?!
A few weeks ago I read something online about clusters and that it can be tricky to scrap with them. By clusters I mean those cute little groupings of embellishments that you can see in many scrapbooking projects. I for one am not at all good at those! But I thought about it and realized that maybe it can be made a bit easier using color. By sticking to one colorscale you bring unity to a page. You can see this as a a bit of training just to get the feel for it. Let me show you a few examples.
On this page I started with a neutral background and then worked with only shades of yellow. I picked out embellishments and scrap papers to match my scale and started adding stuff. Perhaps you wouldn´t call this cluster since it is the overall color of the page, but as I said before, maybe this can be a good way to start.
For my second example I used a green colorscale. For this I just picked out green shades of scrap paper and grouped them on the right side of my page. One tip when picking a color is to look for a color in your photo and work with that.
Here is one page where I have used more of a cluster perhaps. By grouping the embellsihments and using the colors of the layout.
I like to use the scraps from punching out shapes, you know the negative motive so I always save them. Ofcourse buttons, pins and brads are other choices.
These pages are all examples on how you can use color as accents, clusters and unifying objoects on a page!
Thanks for stopping by today!
