It is October and the third Saturday which means that it is time for us to play! As soon as I saw this month's gallery, I couldn't wait to put together some inspired-by layouts. Join me?
SKETCH
This month's sketch is based upon Jennifer's layout from our gallery this month.
Here it is:
Twelve photos worth of awesome! I couldn't wait to put it to good use. I looked for a folder with lots of photos that could all go together on one layout. Look what I got!
Each year we go to the Founder's Day carnival and I end up with loads of photos. I rarely put them to use as it is so hard to choose between them and you know me, I am sort of a one or two photo per layout kind of gal. But knowing I had exactly 12 spots to fill made it easy. I narrowed the folder to 12 and then put them in order and clipped them to the sketch. Thank you, Jennifer!
Stephanie put together a sketch layout, too.
I love how Stephanie took out the margin and replaced some of the squares with non-square shapes. And I love the sun flare in her photos. Mmm.
Sue also played along with this month's sketch.
Oh me oh my! You have to look at these photos--they are awesome! Sue's matting of the title banner helps to tie in the thickers in a great way. And the pumpkin placement is perfect so as to not detract from any of those photos!
Lastly, AmyK made an adorable layout.
I couldn't love it's diagonal stripes, and big navy bow any more. It is sheer perfection.

ROYGBIV
This month, the color scheme is based upon Amy K's layout.
I loved the bright yellow with that pale mint.
We have some layouts to help you understand how versatile the color scheme is. AmyC brightened up the palette and ombre-ed the mint to a teal. Lovely!
Stephanie left her colors soft, and focused on the grey, with only tiny bits of yellow.
These two layouts are so helpful to demonstrating how color affects emotion. I thought of that as I put my layout together. I thought I might put the pink first as I wanted it to be about love. (I like that our palettes are evenly shown so I can decide which color to make the primary one.) And the blue made for a peaceful background. Here is how it came together.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the sketch and scheme!
And don't forget to link your layout when you make one!
