Hello, October!!! Oh, how we love thee! We are thrilled to have a new month and a new gallery. This month our gallery is A Day in the Life. We're excited to show you how some of us log the daily moments through divided page scrapbooking projects, and some of us make use of good old fashioned scrapbooking pages. We hope you enjoy our new layouts!
Me & My Bike | Aliza Deutsch
![Me & My Bike | Aliza Deutsch](https://www.writeclickscrapbook.com/photos/a_day_in_the_life_oct_201/aliza-october-gallery-wcs.jpg)
12 x 12 | materials cardstock (Bazzill Basics) + patterned paper (Carta Bella, Elle’s Studio) + paper clips (Maya Road) + wood veneers (BasicGrey) + stickers (BasicGrey, Carta Bella) + stamp (Cocoa Daisy) + font (Burst My Bubble)
A Note from Aliza
This layout is about something that I have once again added to my life each day-riding my bike to and from work. It’s not the first time I have gotten into this routine. It’s always tricky getting started, and even harder to maintain in the winter months. But while I am doing it, I love it.
October Fun Fact
When riding over the bridge (at least while riding up), I have to have something to occupy my mind, and distract me from the physical effort. Usually I make a to-do list in my mind, or I think about the details of a scrapbooking project. If I can’t think of anything in particular, I think of a big word, and I try to scramble the letters to make new words.

12 x 12 | materials cardstock (American Crafts) + patterned paper (Gossamer Blue, My Mind's Eye, Teresa Collins) + buttons (My Mind's Eye, Teresa Collins) + alphabets (Pink Paislee, Recollections) + twine (Whisker Graphics) + washi (Freckled Fawn, Cutetape) + sequins (Tree House Studio) + wood veneers (Freckled Fawn, Studio Calico) + paper clip (Freckled Fawn, Studio Calico) + stencil (The Crafter's Workshop) + stamps (Elle's Studio, Studio L2e, Papyrus, Kelly Purkey, Office Depot) + ink (Tsukineko, Prima) + punches (EK Success, Fiskars, Martha Stewart, Marvy Uchida) + stapler (Tim Holtz) + adhesives (Scotch) + scissors (Tonic, Fiskars) + pen (American Crafts, Sakura)
A Note from Christine
I picked a day and set reminders on my phone to take photos every hour throughout the day. Then I just picked my favorites that reflected my day and ended up with nine photos. Including nine photos on a layout can be difficult, so I sized them at about 2.4" square and created a collage in Lightroom. I exported the collage as a jpeg file, then pulled it into Photoshop and typed the time and description of each photo on top of each photo. Then I printed it out 8.5x11 and cut the photos apart for my layout.
October Fun Fact
One year for Halloween, we got our friends to join us in a group costume. We all dressed up as characters from Scooby Doo. We spent weeks finding the right clothes at thrift stores. It turned out really excellent!
Handbook | Monika Głód
![Handbook | Monika Głód](https://www.writeclickscrapbook.com/photos/a_day_in_the_life_oct_201/wcs_10_2013_monikag%C5%82%C3%B3d.jpg)
6 x 8 | materials PL Kit – Marks&Co (Studio Calico) + journaling cards (BasicGrey) + stamps (Studio Calico) + alphabet stickers (Glitz Design) + flair (Studio Calico) + giant heart rhinestone (Glitz Design) + die cuts, transparencies (BasicGrey), printables (Studio Calico, Two Peas in the Bucket)
A Note from Monika
For me it was hard to focus on one particular day. I made a handbook page with last 3 days of vacation, and first day of school. They were very important for our family, and for me especially, because I met my dear friend, who I hadn’t seen for 14 years (she was at US Army in many places in the world). Another important day, was first day of school for my older son, who started 2nd grade, and we are so proud of him. I used Studio Calico and Two Peas printables. Try to use printables in your work, it’s so much fun!
October Fun Fact
We were at the park lately, and I saw first colorful leaves on the trees and on the ground. I can’t wait when I will take my kids to the park, and take them a lot of photos full of autumn colors.
this is your life | Stephanie Bryan
![this is your life | Stephanie Bryan](https://www.writeclickscrapbook.com/photos/a_day_in_the_life_oct_201/wcs_102013_stephaniebryan_dayinthelife.jpg)
8.5 x 11 | materials journaling cards (Studio Calico) + thickers (American Crafts) + stickers (Heidi Swapp) + embellishments (Studio Calico, BasicGrey, A Piece of Cake Design) + other (typewriter, white card stock)
A Note from Stephanie
For the "Day in the Life" challenge this month, I waned to create a Project Life spread recording the everyday of my two children. I love capturing their interests at one particular moment. Instead of using a regular Project Life page protector, I decided to use an 8.5x11 coin pocket sheet. Each square is only 2 inches so it allowed me to get a few more pictures in the spread. After I added my photos, I typed up my journaling on white card stock and then added it to the page. The few empty spots I had, I filled with a few extra journaling cards, some stickers, wood veneer and flair. I kept the first column of slots blank and added my title with thickers.
October Fun Fact
I love Fall. I wait for it all year long. I love boots, lattes, football, chili…..basically everything Fall related!! The leaves may be changing here, but it's still 95 degrees!! Hopefully Fall is right around the corner!!

A Note from Sue
This layout is about a daily routine that my 16 year old cat has developed. Apparently, I scrap in the morning so often that she has come to expect it!
October Fun Fact
My husband recently made a built in snack area for our basement. With a mini fridge, plenty of shelf space and ample storage, our Saturday football games have become even more fun!
A Day in the Life of Sally | Lisa Ottosson

A Note from Lisa
I knew I had to make a page about a day in the life of our silly cat Sally. She lives the best life! I like to use pocketed page protectors in my regular scrapbook album, it gives an easy design.
October Fun Fact
As much as I love summer, I always look forward to autumn and how our lives get back into routine.

A Note from Lisa
This layout was made minutes after I received the August Cocoa Daisy Main Kit! I just loved the colors and knew that I wanted to use that fun photo of us.
That photo represents so much and says so much about our relationship. We seriously have fun all the time. We joke and are silly everyday and I am sure it drives people crazy!
I made that heart card using my watercolors. Try it, it´s so much fun!
October Fun Fact
As much as I love summer, I always look forward to autumn and how our lives get back into routine.

A Note from Jenny
I almost never make a page about my daily life 9 months of the year, which is teaching, mainly because I forget to take photos! I took one from each hour this year and made this page to commemorate my year without a prep period. So far, so much fun!
October Fun Fact
I paint my toenails purple every fall.

12 x 12 | materials cardstock (American Crafts) + patterned paper (Kaisercraft, BasicGrey) + buttons (Studio Calico) + alphas (Heidi Swapp) + alpha sticker (October Afternoon, Tim Holtz)+ stickers (Carta Bella, My Mind's Eye, October Afternoon, BasicGrey) + paper clip (Two Peas in a Bucket)
A Note from Jina
I usually like one photo layout. But sometimes it's not enough to keep lots of memories on one page. To arrange multiple photos on this page, I decided to make wide white space. It seems to me that the white space put my layout in a simple mood although 5 photos were in.
October Fun Fact
The Galaxy Note 3 will finally be in Korea at the end of this month. I'm going to buy a new mobile in October. :)
Day In The Life | Laura O'Donnell
![Day In The Life | Laura O'Donnell](https://www.writeclickscrapbook.com/photos/a_day_in_the_life_oct_201/201310_lauraodonnell_dayin.jpg)
12 x 12 | materials digital kits (Paislee Press and One Little Bird Day Planner; Valorie Wibbins Pocket Squared) + font (AL Modern Type)
A Note from Laura
I picked September 5th to document my day. This was the first week my kids were back in school. My little boy Willie started kindergarten and prior to this he went to school 4 days a week with Fridays off. This was my first Friday without him and I really missed him! When the bus left in the morning I remembered Day in the Life and decided to do it that day to keep me distracted. I took a bunch of pictures. Not all of them went to Instagram when I took them but when I got the idea to do a pocket page layout I "latergrammed" them and used this digital template with so many square pockets to put them into.
October Fun Fact
The day after Halloween is a religious holiday and my daughter has always had it as a day off school. She goes out trick or treating with her friends. Sometimes someone has a party or a sleepover. How great is that!
Day in the Life | Cristina C. Scrap

A Note from Cristina
I started a new schedule in September, and I decided to document it with this digital page. I combined photos from two days.
October Fun Fact
I will have a very busy fall, but most of my deadlines should be over by the first week of December, so I hope I can find time to put together a December Daily mini album. It will be my fourth year, and it's my favorite project of the year!
Just Another Day | Amy Kingsford

A Note from Amy
This layout is about my son's standing breakfast order for cereal, no milk. I extracted the bowl of cereal from my photos background with a craft knife to help bring it to life on the page and then I used my silhouette to cut the phrase just another day out of this leftover piece of kraft. I decided to layer the vellum over top of the diecut phrase so that it was interesting but not in a standout way, like the phrase "just another day" implies.
October Fun Fact
This year my son and I are planning our first Halloween Party. He's almost as excited as I am for Halloween to come!

A Note from Sam
I saw my baby boy busy grabbing his ears when I stepped into the living room. This is what he has been doing everyday recently. I made the photo into collage to show the ways he grabbed his ears so that we could look back someday and laugh at his cute little daily habit.
October Fun Fact
My baby boy is turning 6 month old this month which mean we have to start introducing semi-solid food to him. Yay to another milestone! I am all excited yet feeling nervous at the same time being a first time mommy. We are going to send him to weekly class for photographic memory. So we will see how things go!

This layout captures a fun day of discoveries I shared with my son. I love using the speech bubble elements to add details about each photograph while giving the page a playful feel.
October Fun Fact
I love October! The weather is lovely and turning cooler, fall colors and smells are everywhere, time for Halloween and fall festivals, and the holidays are just around the corner!

A Note from Christa
There are always big changes in a move, but of course a move to another country brings the biggest changes. We go from seeing cookie cutter houses, backed up traffic and 7-11 stores to non-stop vending machines, bento and yakitori shacks and bulls being walked like dogs. It has certainly opened my photographer eyes to pay attention to what is going on around us ever day.
October Fun Fact
This month I’m taking my first moms-only trip to mainland Japan and the thought of all the sightseeing we’ll do, the pictures to be taken and the fun to be had makes giddy! Kyoto may not be the same after October!

A Note from Mel
This layout means a lot to me. It represents a quiet moment with my baby girl. Since I've gone back to work this time together is even more important to me. It's also one of those rare times that we can just be still and quiet together. It's our daily ritual, our moment of solitude that I will forever treasure.
October Fun Fact
I love Fall, such a perfect time to be outdoors and take pictures. The scenery is ideal! The apple orchard, the pumpkin patch, Thanksgiving and Halloween, it's a beautiful month ahead!

I went a different direction with this month's assignment, and chose to capture a moment that I treasure each and everyday, after nap snuggles with my baby boy.
October Fun Fact
This month my favorite season is in full swing, and the cooler temps and fun fall activities are something I look forward to every year.
Every Time | Amy Sorensen
![Every Time | Amy Sorensen](https://www.writeclickscrapbook.com/photos/a_day_in_the_life_oct_201/a-sorensen-every-time.jpg)
12 x 12 | materials patterned paper (Echo Park, Jillibean Soup, My Mind's Eye) + small journaling card (Studio Calico) + alpha stickers (Echo Park) + date sticker (BasicGrey) + word stickers (My Mind's Eye) + font (Century Gothic)
A Note from Amy
I took my "everyday" inspiration in a slightly different direction. The idea to make a list about repeating, consistent things we do came from a conversation I had with my sister about how we're both in the Costco phase of our lives. (Because we won't always need to buy, say, four gallons of milk or five pounds of cheese or two dozen eggs all at once, but right now it's absolutely necessary!) I thought about how, when Kaleb was younger, every time we went to Costco he asked me for a hot dog and a "flushie" (his word for a berry smoothie). And how every time we went to Wal-Mart, at about that same time, we'd go visit the fish. I read through journals, blog entries, and Facebook status updates to come up with the rest of the details.
All of which proves that you can do "every day" type of layouts about everyday (ish) experiences that happened years ago.
October Fun Fact
This month I'm taking a dream vacation to Italy with my mom and two sisters. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!
A Day in the Life of a Scrap Addict | Diane Payne
![A Day in the Life of a Scrap Addict | Diane Payne](https://www.writeclickscrapbook.com/photos/a_day_in_the_life_oct_201/scrapaddict_dianepayne-1.jpg)

A Note from Diane
This layout was difficult to get inspired to do because I was feeling a little bored with my day-to-day life at the moment. When I had my a-ha moment to incorporate a little humor into my daily routine with my scrapping obsession I was very inspired. My scrapping obsession is actually 100 times more than I described in my journaling…I think about scrapping and am inspired by things around me 24/7. I hope that I'm not the only one with this problem, which, by the way, I don't view as a bad thing. I love living a creative life!
October Fun Fact
My Birthday is in October, so a few years ago I declared it was my Birthday MONTH! I've trained my husband well, toward the end of September he told me in a couple more days it would be my Birthday month. Hehe, I love that he is acknowledging it as a month long celebration.
Everyday Moments | Jennifer Hignite

12 x 12 | materials digital kit: A Life Recorded (Audrey Neal & Karla Dudley) + template: 2012: The Templates (Audrey Neal) + font (FFF Tusj)
A Note from Jennifer
This layout documents one normal day in our life. With the inspiration of taking 12 photos on the 12th day of the month, of simple everyday things we did. What we ate, where we went, what we did. A basic grid based layout makes for an oh-so-simple way to get those photos off the camera/phone and into the scrapbook!
October Fun Fact
Fall is my favorite time of year! Warm days, cool temps at night, changing leaves, Halloween, fall decor, delicious foods, cozy clothes, I love it all!!

Do you have those things that you do so often, you don't think to photograph them? Though they take up much of your day? That's us and the gym. So I took my biggest lens and tried to remedy that! Hooray!
October Fun Fact
My parents are coming for a visit this month. Rich and I celebrate 17 years the weekend before, so while my parents are here, we are going to have a night away to celebrate. Our first night away in years. I am so excited!
Thank you for stopping by! As a reminder, the journaling and larger images can be found in the photo album. We hope you enjoy the gallery!
