Hi friends! Are you doing alright? I know that we are days away from the Christmas and all that it brings, and I am hoping that you are happy and enjoying things along the way. I am not a shining example of how to do that and won't pretend to be so, but I am trying to make an effort to enjoy all that December brings. Even if my lists are seriously behind...
While I am checking things off my list, I took a few moments to put together a few layouts. Once the tree comes down on December 26, I am generally not in the mood for Christmas-y layouts, so I was excited to steal away a few moments to create and document before the radio concludes the carols. This month's gallery was filled with inspiration to help me get started.
SKETCH
The sketch this month comes from Jenny's layout.
I loved all the room for journaling and patterned papers. With this many patterns, it will be super easy to set the mood for holiday magic.
Here is the sketch.
and here is my layout.
Thank you, Jenny, for such a lovely layout! I would never have finished this layout so quickly without you! If you would like to use the sketch as a layered template, you may download it here!
ROYGBIV
This month, we opted for a traditional holiday color palette. Cristina's layout was the perfect layout for color dipping.
Here is how the color palette came out.
Doesn't it make you crave some Christmas? Here is what happened when I put it on a layout.
CHERRY ON TOP
For a bit of extra fun, I put the two together to create a layout with the sketch and the colors. Jenny + Cristina = Jenina? or Crisny? or perhaps just perfection.
I rearranged the layout a tiny bit, especially because it will be just a page or two down from the other. I think with all the color differences and the changes from journaling tag to strips, that the general sketch won't be too visible!
Thank you for taking time to be with me on this busy day! I really appreciate your stopping by. If you make a layout using the sketch or the color palette, or both!, please leave me word and a link. I would love to see what you do!
