It's Laura O'Donnell up on the blog today and I'm going to share a money holder card I will be making this year for cash gifts. I think we all have someone we know who would appreciate money as a Christmas gift, and a handmade card is a nice way to add a personal touch.
This is a hybrid card made with some digital kits that I'll link up at the end of the post.
Here is how I put together the pocket:
For a small pocket like this I like to use dimensional adhesive. If the pocket is flat to the card it is a very snug fit and can even warp the card when the money is inside. This Scotch Foam Mounting Tape is my all time favorite dimensional adhesive. I like it because it's "low rise", very sticky, and also photo safe.
I finished it off with a decorative brad that goes through the front of the pocket, not all the way through the card.
This design would work for a gift card, too!
