Welcome to our final day of our Scrapolympics! My goodness we have had a good week. So much fun! Thank you for visiting and for stopping by. It wouldn't have been as much fun without you!
RELAY
Our sixth and final Scrapolympic event is the Relay. Freestyle skiing combines speed, showmanship and the ability to perform aerial manoeuvres whilst skiing.
Here is the official Olympic history statement.
After having been a demonstration sport at the 1988 Games in Calgary, short track speed skating became part of the Olympic programme in Albertville in 1992, with two individual events and two relays. The discipline comprises men’s and women’s events. Since the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, the programme of this discipline has included eight events.
It quickly became popular with the public, who are thrilled to watch rapid races on tight tracks. The skaters race so closely to each other that collisions and falls are inevitable, which is why the walls of the speed skating oval are padded.

We love how the relay is both a team and an individual sport. We have the most amazing team on earth and can't wait to see their amazing pages and how they work together. Here are the rules of the relay.
RELAY = CREATE, PASS, CREATE, PASS, CREATE
We have two time teams racing for gold today, Team Look+Love+Inspire and Team Look+Love+Inspiretwo.
The starting rifle has fired. Better get moving! Team Look+Love+Inspire has three members with their eye on the prize: Marnie, Jennie, and AmyC.
Marnie started the relay with this layout.
Then she sent it on to Jennie for her inspiration and use.
Jennie looked at it, loved it, and was inspired by its use of two different patterned papers. That's really all it took to start toward a her new page.
Then Jennie sent her page to Amy.
Amy looked at it, loved it was was inspired by the two photos, so that's where she started. She was also drawn to the diagonal movement of the stars in Jennie's layout, so she incorporated that same diagonal line with her mist splatters. She thought it was so much fun to create a layout based on Jennie's based on Marnie's!!!
And that, dear readers, is all it takes to win gold: look, love, and inspire.
Here they are all together!
Mmm. Good as gold. Don't you think?
Our second team is Team Look+Love+Inspiretwo: Valerie, Carey, and Jennifer.
Valerie was first up for this relay.
She then sent it over to Carey.
Carey looked at it, loved it, and was inspired by its colors (aqua, gray and white) and its big paper blocks. Even though there's a lot going on, she liked how Valerie's layout still has a light and airy feel. Additionally, Carey wanted to keep the white borders on the photos for definition and emphasis.
Then Carey sent this layout to Jennifer.
Jennifer looked long and hard at is colors, splatters, and jewels. She loved everything that she saw. But the thing that inspired her most was the design of Carey's layout. So she kept the same look with large strips of patterned paper for my background. And while she changed up the number of photos, the rest remained similarly designed with the paper elements, embellishments and journaling.
And again, that, dear readers, is all it takes to win gold: look, love, and inspire.
Here is this set all together.
We hope that you will join on in. Find two friends, line yourself up, and be inspired. It's sort of like the telephone game. So very much fun!
We are thrilled that you we could spend the week with us. As a token of our love we would like to offer you a little something for you. It is February, the month of love.
